CASSIE’S SERIES OF POEMS: CORONAVIRUS POEM

Hi Readers,  In the midst of coronavirus and Polish borders closing, I decided to write a poem so that in a few years’ time I can look back at it and remind myself how the situation seemed and felt. Here it goes: “Coronavirus, the poem”  No way in and no way out.  Borders closed, in shops there is a crowd. Never before did I see such empty shelves. Before weekend, just in case, people share their farewells.  No way in and no way out.  Polish borders close tomorrow’s night.  Who knows when the next time will be  For me to see my dog and my family?  I wonder “is Easter holiday too near?” Then I look around at all distrust and fear. Toilet paper, pasta, rice... Hard to get them no matter the price. I made some grocery shopping the other day,  The date for the next delivery is March, 23rd.  It all seems a bit apocalyptic And UK’s politicians remain rather cryptic.  Global virus roaming round,...
